    Angry Issues with CDTI 1.9 SRi 150

    Im having real issues with my Vectra CDTI 1.9 SRi 150 at the moment!!, the emissions warning light has been on, which was to do with the EGR valve, cleaned it and its still coming up as an error, so am having to fork out for a new one!!. But since i cleaned this and the boost sensor my turbo has gone mental!!. It used to kick in at 1700, now its more like 2500....like driving a bus at the moment!!!

    Anyone got any suggestions?!!

    Check your boost sensor plug is connected correctly then unplug the egr valve and see if there's any difference... also get the codes read and post them here... also look at your swirl bar... is it connected..??

    In addition to the above check the vac pipes for any splits

    Hi Fellas,

    Thanks for the tips, soz been away and not had chance to reply. The code i keep getting is P400 of my mates code reader. Changed the valve, but im still having issues with the Turbo!!. I can hear it whistle at 1700, the car does accelerate well but im not getting the kick into my seat like i used to, is this normal?. Should it be this smooth, its weird but i miss waiting for my power and then enjoying the car take off!

    Check for boost leaks, split pipes etc. there is a couple at the front right of the engine that split (usually 6mm black ones) plus get someone to rev the engine while you check for leaks. The main pipe at the right hand side of the engine should swell up under pressure, if it doesnt it might be split or one of tthe other pipes are. Also check your intercooler for leaks

    Checked the Vacuum pipes and they are ok, will check the others, thanks!
