    Default OCD/paranoia affliction

Hi guys, jacking my car up from the front today to secure my front underguard with a new screw that uncle arnold must have lost when my dmf was getting done, placed axle stand on support and noticed that my rear of the car has lifted as well with the rear wheel not touching the ground, quickly removed axle stand and lowered stand and jacked up again, i still had enough space to fix guard and rear wheel was still touching ground, could this have caused any problems to the chassis, took the car for a drive afterwards along aroute i travell every day and the car felt the same, might sound stupid but with ocd i get these thoughts and then need some reassurance, lol

Look at it this way - at least you now know it's not a cut'n'shut - if it was, it would have snapped when you jacked it up.

aye its when the wheel stays on the ground that you want to worry, shows the chassis rigidity, same happened on my old cav although i did notice the door gaps alter with the flex, all was fine when lowered again!!!!

    Default O.C.D.

    i have o.c.d. too ..

i check doors , locks , sockets , windows 20 times and then when i have walked away it drives me mad thinking is it secure ,,,

it drives my lass mad ..

once we were sitting in the car and i went back to check front door lock .. and came back to car .

and she said .. have you checked front door ..

so i had to go back even though i'd already checked the front door ..

with o.c.d. somethings do not regisiter with the brain as being done .

and my lass ( cruelly ) asked me about the door 5 times and i had to go to the door 5 times to check it ..

aparently ocd stems from an insecurity in your past life ...

True OCD is where the sufferer can't stop doing something (locking the car, washing their hands, etc etc) until it feels "right", and they believe that if they stop doing it before it feels right, something bad will happen to them or their family etc.
