    Talking Oil filter change 1.9 cdti 150

    Hi all, could anyone give me some general advice on how you drain the oil from the filter before undoing the cannister ? i read some where that you can fit a piece of hose to the filter to allow you to drain it first ! !
    any advice or pic's would be appreciated

    looking from underneath the car you will see a small plastic tube about an inch long just stick a piece of tube over it this will allow for it to drain into the bowl you used to drain the oil from the sump you cant miss it tbh

    * oh and a little tip put some rags over the exhaust pipe as you will get some spillage so dont possition yourself directly underneath it

    i did it this weekend
    i didnīt know why the plastic tip was so i screwed the whole thing of
    result a lot of oil on the ground

    they couldnīt find a better place to hide the damn filter.

    i also saw that at the side of the filterhousing there is what looks like a lever. is this a draining valve?

    No, that lever is for switching between 120 BHP and 150 BHP modes. You switch to 120 mode when driving in countries where only poor quality fuel is available.
