    Default tensioner pully no good?

    need some help with tensioner pully on my 2.0dti

    i took it off today and the arm swings freely is it ment to?
    also there seems to be oil leaking from the rubber seal so i guess its fooked?

    yellow line is where its leaking

    red line is were its just swings free

    From that piccy I would imagine the tensioner works by the piston jobby causing the tension pulley assembly to pivot about that nice big bearing point to the left of the yellow arrow.
    So free movement at the red arrow point would be good, but the tension 'piston' to the right of the yellow arrow might well be a gonner.
