    Default Debadging Issues

Firstly sorry for starting another debadging thread as even though I have only been on here short time seen a lot on them...

...but I removed all badges and some questions have arisen!

Firstly the chrome boot strip. I removed the 'vectra' and it has left a dirty ghosting where it was. Used various cleaners but nothing is shifting it. Just popped into Halfords and seen they have chrome polisher available but states not for plastic chrome. Safe to use on everything else. Does anyone know what the chrome strip is made of?

Secondly, the SRI badge I removed from the wing has left a outline of what feels like a layer of paint. I have T-Cut it and still not made any difference. The drivers side is fine and nothing left but the passenger has this issue. Could this have been resprayed at some point? The outline is almost a rectangle so does not follow the SRI outline.

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this issue.

Love the look of it debadged and dont want to have to put them back on. The rear without the griffin looks spot on.

    Thanks

Hi mate, i used oven cleaner to remove the ghosting on the chrome strip. It's a mild abrasive like brasso etc. Brought it up a treat.

The back chrome strip is made of metal not plastic chrome so good metal polish will take it off bud as for the rest of the badges i diluted white spirit on a microfibre on the back and took all trace's of adhesive of the car hope you get it sorted bud.
