    Default DTI limp.

    accelerated hard from traffic light on sunday and then it went into limp mode.
    did it a few times and then cleared and i managed to hit 90 without it kicking in.
    today (monday) its been kicking in again. once while the car was stationary. tried to rev up and it only got to about 2800revs then sounded like there was a limiter on it.
    the EGR was changed 3 years ago and the top hose was replaced less than a year ago with a silicone replacement.
    i know normally limp mode will come in when driving and under strain but this time its completely random and even when not moving, just after i revved high in 3rd to about 60 and nothing at all.

    any ideas before it goes into a garage for diagnostics.

    mabye boot pressure sensor mate,,,not too sure on a dti tho...take her off and give her a clean,,

    Check all of your vacuum pipes/turbo pipes for splits n bad connections mate. You might not be able to see any when they are not under load. Listen for a sucking type noise.

    Try wiggling the connector on the boost sensor mate. Had something similar on our 2.2DTi.

    update.
    the emissions light is now on and the spanner doesnt come on when it goes into limp.
    is it time to de-cat?
    it is booked in for a diagnostics tomorrow so that might show something up.

    check around all the vac tubes & connectors, it could be egr or vac related
