    Default boot strip

i've removed the vectra badge from the chrome boot strip, to put an irmscher badge there, what's the best thing to use to get the marks off with ,cos you can still see the outline of the letters and i don;t want to scratch the chrome rubbing with anything to abrasive

guys, thanks for the advice, but it's not the sticky residue i;m talking about , i've got that off , it's the word vectra is still visible on the chrome strip, it's as if it's left a shadow on it, i'm concerned that if i use t-cut or similar it will scratch and make a mess of the chrome....the badge i'm replacing it with is the word irmscher which , granted , will cover some of it,
