    Default Spanner Monkeys

Following on from this post LINK HERE

Depending on funds and if / how soon Benny can fit me in, i am going to attempt to change the chain myself on my 2.2 direct, dealer says there is no issues but tbh i think its does rattle , so far i have had a new fuel pump, snapped spring , just dont want this common fault to happen anytime soon , now i have done similar a while back, and i mean a long while back

depending on time, date etc would anyone like to give me a hand

Ive done the chain on my Z22SE (2.2 non direct) with a vvoc member, and subsiquently stripped it all down again to change oil pump/chain ccover and gasket and rocket gasket so pretty much done the job a second time bar removing the chain itself.

Let me know when you are doing and will try and be available mate. Im in Ashford Middlesex so not too far away.

    Haha!!!

I would love to help you out mate but a fair trek from Germany

Should be an easy job once you get to the chain, just make sure you mark all of the gears up with a marker pen against a mark on the block so they are lined up when you put the new chain on and you won't need to adjust the timing

At 62k - id be doing it!

the chains stretch over time so get the VX kit and you get the chain, new cogs, guides, tensioner, oil jet etc.
You then need a pump/cover gasket and rocker gasket + oil and filter ~
