confused Help - Drivers seatbelt issue

    Hi all,

I've got a minor problem with my drivers seatbelt on a 2002 2.2DTI. I've had a goot root through the forum and how 2's but not found anything.

My seatbelt work as it should but is painfully slow to wind back in if not at all. It only just went through the MOT but now its nearly packed up. Does anyone know how to fix this, clean it up etc or even to replace the belt?

    Thanks
    Nev

This normally happens on higher mileage cars as the retracting spring looses its tension.

    Is your car high mileage?

Find a good one at the scrapyard and swap it over (Or buy new depending on what they cost)

It is on a part that is used everytime the car is driven.

I bet the rears or passenger one retracts better.

No idea. Given that it looks to be quite a complex / long job to change the belt, I think i'm going to get a 2nd hand one as new even on ebay is over £100. Looks like i'll be making a how 2 on this as well.
