    Default Annoying dog

Blooming great my neighbour couple of doors down has returned from holiday and have obviously got themselves a dog. Good stuff apart from the fact it's clearly going to be kept outdoors and has done nothing but bark and whine for the past hour and a half.

Hopefully it will settle down and not be a regular thing as i had been really happy to finally be staying in a nice quiet street but fear peace may soon be shattered.

Nothing against dogs by the way just really grates on you that constant noise.

Night one should be the worst, providing the owner doesn't react to the noise, you should see a reduction in the noise over time. My wife wanted our current dog to live outside, I refused, I don't see it as very practicable these days, I hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble.

    Id speak to them
as a long term dog lover/ owner I can hear my dog, and if they are blatantly ignoring the fact its that noisy they are not good owner.

Go speak to them. Its the same as having a neighbour that continuously plays loud music.

I, for one, would not let the dog get away with it. Its just ****in rude

I'll see how it goes tomorrow, havent met them yet as they just moved in month or 2 ago and when ever i've shouted over if they have been getting out the car they never seem to reply.

They also ignore the rules in the deeds about commercial vehicles as they have 3 - 4 vans in the street sometimes so dont think they care too much about neighbours but will maybe have a word tomorrow.

    fingers crossed it stops

    Woohoo its quiet tonight!

Seen the cause of the noise earlier in their garden, a lovely greyhound. They had the kids out playing with it then it was making a racket when they were away in so probably a seperation thing but no sign tonight thankfully so hopefully for our sakes and the dogs they are looking after it better.

I'm a dog lover too, sometimes, with a new dog, you just have to ride the first night out. Keep going to it makes it worse, like keep picking up a baby when it cries. There are things that can be done to ease sepaeration anxiety, they can't expect others to put up with it for long. Hope the peace lasts
