Default Goldy brown dust on cars over last week?

Over the last week I have noticed a really weird goldy/brown dust covering over loads of cars.

I noticed it while we were away in Aylesbury, but then when I came back on Monday - have since seen the same sort of covering on loads of cars.

Its almost as though there has been a huge sand truck driven past every car.

Anyone else noticed this? What is it? Have I missed something?

Its particularly noticable on silver cars.

I would run it off with a hose, unless you want to give it a good wash

House has taken over my life so cars have had zero attention!!

Might just take it to an "International" car wash over the weekend. For £2.50 I dont think I will have the energy or time to do it myself.

Covered in it over this way too, it's rapeseed pollen and actually yellow, but looks darker on the cars. We've got loads of rapeseed fields round our way it's a pain in the rear end.

Mines the same, very fine dust, looks awful once it's rained too as it leaves dusty blobs all over the car

Haha international car wash. Last time i took mine to our commonwealth cousins they put that much undiluted alloy wheel cleaner on its stripped all the colour from my wheel nut covers and left them white, never again. To be fair to them they did pay for a full set of new ones.
