Four Pence None The Richer

Last night in my local petrol garage ,,,

Man in front of me made a little scene because the cashier forgot to give him four pence change from the £ 11 and 5 pence he had handed over ...

Fair enough ( if he had done it nicely ) ...

He looks at the queue behind him and probably realises he's made a fool of himself over 4 pence ...

And throws ( not places ) the 4 single pennies down the charity box next to the till ...

and he sped out the garage in his t.d.i. Bora ...

What Would YOU Have Done If You Were The ...

1) Cashier .

2) The bloke who was initially short changed .

1) Apologised to the customer.

2) Personally, for 4p, I wouldn't have bothered!!

2) Not give a crap because 4p isn't the end of the world.

Don't care about the 4p but care about the principal. Probs would not have done anything through...

Imagine how much it would be if they short changed EVERYONE by 4p..... I would have asked for it out of principal, but probably would have put it straight in the tin too.

Agree eentirely. Talking of manners, anyone else fed up with the morons who shove past or lean over you in shops, because they're incapable of saying "excuse me", let alone "please"

How can a cashier "forget" to give you your change??? It's their JOB. I think he came to a good comprimise by putting the coppers in a jar.

Would I have made a fuss? Probably. Probably would have done the same thing and bunged the slummy in the jar, but irrespective of how much it is, or how little it may be... it was his money and he is entitled to it back.

Do you think the cashier would have been as easy going if he had picked up a packet of sweets and waltzed off with them? same shizz, different day.
