    Fit them, yes
    Road legal, no

Several police forces install 100W bulbs
We also sell them as part of the HGV range of bulbs

Personally, I would go for Philips Vision range of bulbs
That is what I have fitted, complete set for dip and main beam

The bulb will generate extra heat - could cause problems in melting the reflector or plastic headlight lens.

It will also draw extra current which could overload the standard wiring and any relay contacts.

More preferable to fit aftermarket HIDs.

I had 80w in the dip beam and 100w in the main beam for about two years. No problems with heat or wiring so far. Totally illegal through and were not that much brighter. Now I have HID's and they are awesome...

I have tried uprated bulbs in several cars and only when moving to an HID kit did I get the kind of dip beam I felt was safe on a Vectra with such a poor dip beam projector set up it cries out for the upgrade
