    Default Need a favour from someone with working air con and a multi meter

    Could someone tell me what the voltage is down at the compressor when the ac is switched on.

    Also could someone tell me if you hear a click from the air con compressor when you switch the a/c on but with the engine off.

    I would imagine it's the same as the battery voltage.

    No. Only activates when the engine is started. Helps to stop any unnecessary loading on the engine when turning over.

    Cheers Dave, from what i've read the voltage can be as low as 3v at the compressor so I just want to know what voltage I am looking for
