North Weald Drag Racing July 10th

unfortunately he can't make the date....but there is another date which clashes with Trax...so maybe another meet can be arrange for this date too.

here is so info I got from the guy running this Drag strip.

Hi Ian
Thanks for your questions, answers as follows

1. Admission cost is £10 for adults, accompanied children up to 14 years are free. The track fee for 2011 is £25 for unlimited runs. If you are ready to go at 10am you should get at least 8 runs in on the day.
2. We do have crash helmets available in the start area, to be returned as you leave the track. If any of your members can bring a helmet it will help.
3. The gates open at 8.30 and we start signing on straight away, with action on track from 10am until 5pm. It does get busy so if you want to run aim to be there early, and we have a cut-off at 200 participants on a first come first served basis.
4. We can reserve a space for you in the pits, but we do not have the staff to police it. One of your members will need to be there early to look after your space. You can put up banners and market your club as you want.
5. We have full catering facilities, a beer tent and good toilets on site.

If you can give me some idea of the number of cars that you expect I will allocate an area for you.

As stated by Ian, This event is also held on the 5th Sept and as I wont be attending the meet on the 10th July (my little girls 3rd birthday) I will be attending the September one. Closer to the time if Ian doesn't mind I will post up a new thread for anyone who would like to attend. This promises to be a cracking day out and even if you dont fancy ragging the nuts off your car down the strip you are still welcome to attend and watch all the other cars doing it.

do a search on you tube for RWYB north weald brings up plenty of matches giving top speed and times by the look of it
