    Default springs and brakes

    hi guys

looking at lowering my 2.0dti so looking for some advice on springs... theres plenty floating around on the bay but im dubious about purchasing any because ive no idea what to look for lol, im not looking for a massive drop probably about 30mm because i want to keep an understated look about my car.

and brakes ive been to mablethorpe and back down the country roads and couldnt help but fel that the breaking could be better... im lieing could be much much better and advice on where to go with this because i dont really wanna go buying calipers the size of my head and having brake discs that fill my wheel when i dont have the power to go with them.

    cheers mike

Get yourself a set of 314mm's. You defo notice the difference in stopping power. LMF sell them for about £563 all in, but I'll have a set of calipers and brand new discs/pads available for sale in a couple of days

Think minimum is 17's.... A second hand set of that size disc and pads is about £200-£250

cant think why you would need such big brakes on a DTi mate , the lowering on the other hand is a good idea ! find some 2nd hand eibach pro kit

AS already said mate with yours only being a 2.0dti ,they are adequate for the car, mine are standard brakes and are excellent..?what are the discs like?could also be crap pads.As far as lowerings concerned go PI at 30mm you wont look back.Try euro car parts for springs or LMF on here.

tbh im now only looking at 314's because thats what has been recomended... if some one has a better idea that means i dont have replace discs and calipers would be than interested in this. and my discs and pads look fine and the reason i want them to be better is simply so if i feel im coming to a corner to quickly or someone breaks hard in front of me i can break better ive started seein someone and she has a 3 year old n i just wanna be safer than sorry.

euro car parts? any idea how much springs are from them and what brand they would be?
