Default My poor poor veccy :(

I was so gutted on good friday, which I relabled bad friday because I spent hours and hours last tuesday cleaning, polishing, vacking the veccy, made her look beautiful inside and out...the on bad friday, the worst happened.

Its just under a year since the last accident where a car rolled into the front, and had a big claim, now someone went into me and has smashed my rear bumper to bits.

I also have alot of pain now, cuz of it!!

Had to got to hospital that day as it hurt me like you wouldnt believe.

Visually, the bumper looks like its been crushed and the number plate smashed the boot lid also is a bit stiff to open and close. But looking under the bumper, the crash bars ( i think they call them that or metal bumper) its split in half and pushed right back to the spare wheel well.

Im very sad and I hope my veccy dosnt get written off...especially now that its nearly mine (4 payments left on the loan!!!)

Oh well, might have to start looking for a new one pretty soon.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hope you feel better and like the guys have said don't say yes to the first offer. If it is written off as a Cat D maybe you could buy it back and do the work, have a bit in your pocket and still keep your car?

Read that you went to the hospital. Make sure you make visits to your GP and make them aware you are in pain and where it is. Get prescription for painkillers/anti-inflamatorys etc.

Get in touch with a no win no fee personal injury lawyer, they will offer you pyshio etc. When you make a claim when you are pain free, the other partys insurance will request your medical records and it all confirms the true extent of your injuries.

I was in a bad one a few years back and the company that handled everything for me were brilliant and gave sound advice, i still get minor back pain to this day and no money is ever worth more than your health so make sure you get what you deserve.

If you have comp insurance with legal aid or personal injury, they may sort it out for you. Are they giving you a hire car? (if you're able to drive)

OUCH!!!!!!! Sounds like a really sore one that! I think it may even perish the thought, be writen off from your description as it sounds like the shell has moved with the hatch being difficult,,

I hope the pain eases quickly as well as I had my neck damaged under similar circumstances and still get pain routinely today 14 years on!
