Oil sign on dash

I recently did an oil change on my 04 cdti.
Now when I start the engine there is an oil sign on the dot matrix display with 1.000 below it.
I have checked the oil level a couple of times and it is full.
PLease note it is not the red oil light
Any ideas?

it's telling you you need an oil change in 1000 miles,as you have done the service you will have to reset the ecu,
ign off, key in ign,speedo must be showing trip milage, press and hold down reset button,switch on ign and wait untill interval display changes and keep button held down for at least 3 seconds ,after a few seconds milage will show symbol with maximum service milage,34,000klfor petrol,50,000kl for diesel ,turn of ign and then your display is back to milage.
