    Default Chugging 1.9cdti

    Hi All.

Car is running great, other than the fact that on 90% of start-ups, engine chugs hard, to the point it shakes the engine!!

This lasts a min or so, then seems OK. It pulls great, & engine is very responsive.

    I have done the 3rd injector/egr & boost sensor clean/air box mod.

    Its an Auto with 47k.

    Any clues?

    Regards

Could be the throttle body BUT I doubt it as yours is 2006. May be the EGR valve playing silly beggars. What about Glow plugs? Has the fuel filter been changed?

Cant remember if fuel filter has been changed, suppose I could fit new egr, & fuel filter. As far as glow plugs, I always let the glow plug light come on twice before starting, but come to think of it, it seems to take slightly longer to fire than when I got it!!!

Any other offers whilst I got my hands dirty?

    Regards

Give the EGR valve a clean first - even though I don't agree that the cleaning does much, but it may save you some money.
