    google and download either

    Microsoft Virtual PC 2007

    or (my preference) VMware Server

both will install on XP/Vista/7 (VMWare on Linux as well), 32 and 64 bit versions . Both are free to download.

both then let you install another PC virtually in them.

Remember you'll need a pretty beefy CPU, at least 2GB of memory, and fair chunk of disk space, plus you need another licenced copy of Windows - shouldn't be the same as the one you've already got .

Works very well. Have W7 64bit and xp on Virtual.
Took a short while to understand everything but then it all fell into place. Handy to have for the old software that no longer works on 64bit.
