Thruxton Meet - 01-10-06

Our second meet of the weekend started with Mark washing my siggy again and it turned out that it was totally pointless, I am afraid that the weather let us down, as you will see from some of the pictures.
We drove to Fleet Services to meet up with Harry, Plasma, Mark the Cabby, Mandy and their kids, then continued to Thruxton Circuit. There we met up with Spoons and D, Payney, Ion, Chrisschild and Darkangel

So off to watch some racing, the first race we saw was the Formula 3. The blue car is being driven by Bruno Senna (the nephew of Aryton Senna)

These are cars taking part in the Ginetta Junior Cup. The drivers are between the ages of 14 and 17

A couple of ginetta's getting very pally

These are from the pinto class and some of the cars are from the 70's and 80's, sorry but I like the purple one.

Volkwagen Cup, which is fun, due to the vehicles that they race
This Bora was the winner of the race

And these are two VW diesel Caddy vans racing

and yes this a diesel golf, (boy did it smoke)

One driver decided that they did not like the bumper on the back of the Caddy van

Lewis sat in one of the Jedi cars

some good pics there, ashame we didnt get chance to meet up, i think we were round the other side of the track.

It was a great day although the weather was cr@p lol.

I was brilliant to see everyone there but we got split up & the time flew as we watched the races. I thought "better find the guys" & bu99er me it was time to leave! Couldn't believe it, sorry everyone, didn't mean to be rude

We got stuck on the M4 then for 1hr 40 mins due to a crash so it serves me right for not hanging around lol.

Really good to see everyone again today, and in such good spirits, as usual.

Thank you also for your kind comments on my VXRD. Starting to take pride in my ride again (and I'm 38 years old)..... almost forgot what it felt like !!
