Id say it's your alternator have you checked the output voltage?

This battery may also require changing if it's almost 3yrs old as they fail when flattened.

When the battery is fully charged put it back on fire the beast up and check the voltage at charge and do this with the headlights on to put a surge on the alternator.

Your looking between 13.6-13.84 ish for a fully charged battery, below 13v or above 14. and replace.

Batteries seem to die after 3yrs or at this age and like yours get run down, but if yours is not this old it may be fine, so replace the duff alt and try it if it's ok you have cracked it if not you know what to do.

Cost on batts varies as there cheaper in summer than the winter demand so shop around for prices even try vx.

My battery is original (car registered December 2004) and seems ok at present. 3 years seems a bit of a short life.
