No... I cannot change

GEAR...

After about 20-25 mins of slow round town traffic the gearbox tightens up completely and i really struggle to get it in gear. it becomes really notchy. sometimes it gets so bad i have to turn the engine off to put it in 1st gear then turn it back on (in gear) and drive off.

I had the codes read a while back and it did flash something up about the transmission control module defect....

Not sure what this is!?!?!

I wish i knew what it was as I dread getting stuck in traffic and approaching roundabouts...

How about trying a gearbox oil change? Has the car done many miles?

That may solve the problem, if not then its worth changing anyway.

Yeah mate - I will do this very soon....

I think the lads were right - It needs the clutch slave cylinder doing...I've been told that this is a big job as well.....gearbox out etc.etc.....not looking forward to hearing how much its going to cost me to be honest!
