    Default Other peoples dogs rant

I was going a walk upto the fields with my 11 year old balck lab when another d 2 dogs up the street where let out by there owner and instantly ran over very aggrsively towards my dog.In an instant my dog coward down and one of the others was trying to have a bite of her.Well I did what I thought had to be done and gave the other dog a swift taste of my size 7s.The owner looked at me and said he is only saying hello why you kicked him, well I just said if I ran upto you to punch you in the face to say hello is that ok then.Well she said you better not kick my dog again or there will be trouble so I told her to get her dog on a lead as if it comes again it will get another boot and much harder next time, also told her to wind her neck in and get in the house as she had almost for certain been in the pub all day and I was not gonna stand arguing with her for all to see.Don't get me wrong I love all dogs but when one comes to attack a perfectly harmeless 11 year old dog who would not say boo to anyone I had to do something.I hate people who think they are right all the time

Dogs are supposed to be under control at all times in public are they not? Hence if you hit a dog in your car you can sue the owner for the damage to your car. You should have said you felt the dog was about to attack you and were defending yourself.

You done the right thing, I'm sure the police would be interested in 2 aggresive dogs running about out of control without a leash.

My parents neighbour has got a dog before christmas a nasty looking pitbull cross and its got me worried. they dont have a fence and the neighbour seems to think its ok to let the dog exercise in my folks garden as its bigger, but concerns me if my mum were out as she is disabled and would be easily knocked over. It was going proper mental at me when i brought the bin in one day and has led to a few arguments between my folks and them even though they have been neighbours 20 odd years.

They are in a semi so you can hear the dog running ap and down the stairs frantically and i dont think it gets excersised enough which again worries me that it may do something. Got help it if it did as i would kill it.

My folks have said to the neighbour that they better find a way of keeping it off their property but they just dont seem to care so short of my folks paying a fortune to get a fence up the problems going to continue.

I am not against dogs in any way, just wish people would respect the fact that not everyone wants them running around the street off the lead etc.

Police won't do anything my cousins kid (6 years old) was bitten on the face last week by a pitbull cross and the police said that as the bite didnt puncture the skin there is nothing they can do. his face was badly bruised and had a couple cuts but no puncture wounds

Id do something involving a gun if my little girl got bit by any dog.I love dogs and have been brought up around them all my life but when a time comes to defend yourself, family which includes my dog as she is part of our family I would not hesitate to snap a dogs neck that was getting hold of my dog and it looked serious with its intentions to mame
