Guys i would like to hear your thoughts on this,sometimes when i am driving,the car is fine but when i brake there is times when i hear i "knock" from the offside wheel area,its as if the brake pad is loose or something..any ideas?Thanx in advance

your allmost right,it's free play between the pad and the bracket,modified brake pads have a chamfer and a top spring,you most likely have non branded pads fitted,there is no detrament to braking performance just the annoying clicking
Thanx for your reply jonnybravo,would pads from the stealers cure this problem,as for peace of mind i might have them changed.
they should do unless of course you have another problem,but my signum has been like this now for 18 months and pads are still ok,i won't change mine untill they are ready.it's just a personal choice.
