    Default Wing Mirror Glass

The glass in both my wing mirros fell out a couple of weeks ago. Got in the car in the morning to go to work, looked in the passenger mirror to reverse and couldn't see any glass. The mirror on the driver's side was loose too. Fortunately neither of them broke and stuck them back in with Araldite. Is this is common problem?

Yes it happens to a lot of us sooner more than later. The Meriva suffers from it too.

My passenger side mirror fell out the other day when the door shut, luckilly didnt break.. I put it back in using some thin number plate fixing sticky pads, dont think its going to fall out again...

Ive no idea what was holding it in to begin with though, there didnt seem to be any adhesive residue left on the housing plastic or on the reverse side of the mirror glass..

the glue is still on its the mirror that de-laminates - what you actually see it the back of the bottom layer that separates on the glass

Obviously another common fault with the Vectra - after fixing the handbrake system (it released itself on my drive and rolled into the garage door, smashing it to pieces), the rear suspension arms, both front springs, the battery and alternator, the thermostat, front suspension droplinks, and numerous other common Vectra faults - the f****** passenger mirror falls out and smashes, replace that, only to find that the drivers side is also hanging on by a thread. What next?
