After the air con packing up last week I thought to myself never mind i've had 2.5 years without an expensive problem so I can handle that.
On Tuesday night on the way to my work I noticed the car was starting to drag a bit and when taking the foot off the throttle it was slowing down quicker than it should. When I got to work there was a burning smell from the back end, more specifically the passenger side brake caliper
It was burning hot
So i've priced a few places for exchange calipers and managed to get a really good price. So today I decided to have a look to see it was definatly a stuck caliper and not just a seized cable. It was then I realised that my alloy wheel key has gone missing
So now I need to go to the dealer and order a new ****** key. So I have a few questions
I have the card with the key number on it and i'm praying that the key hasn't been changed at some point in the past 8 years, is the number in the bottom right hand corner the date the lock set was made?
How long do the dealers normally take to get a key as I need the car to be back on the road by next saturday at the latest.
Also whats the latest price for the key? I'm sure it used to be about 30 quid
