    Default Outside Temp Reading

Wondering if my outside temp sensors up the swanny, today it's been roasting and the most it went upto was 14degrees,

Went into the Board Computer on the stereo and flicking through the screens

    outside temp 19degrees
    reading 14degrees

Would you say from that a replacments required or something else.

yes mate, the outside temp sensor clips in to the lower grille on your front bumper, its about 20cm in from the NS. if you still have your undertray fitted you will need to remove that then reach your arm into the back of the lower grill and tug the temp sensor out of its fitting (just a hole). there is enough slack on the wire for you to pull it back towards you and then unplug the sensor and clip on the new one, then reach behind the grill again and push it into its fitting hole.. Or you could take your bumper off and change it over... Basically its an easy job and takes about two mins once you have jacked up the NSF of the car.... Buy a replacement first, they cost about a fiver on ebay, when it arrives you will see how it fits etc..

no worries, mine has started working again today but I will have the spare to hand in case it fails again which it is more than likely to do, quite a common point of failure..
