    Default Z19DTH Pre-Cat Removal

Can this job be done entirely from under the car as access from the top looks to be a nightmare...?

Hmmmm... the silence speaks volumes... I'm guessing I'm on my own with this one... I'll try and make a how-to while I'm at it.

Had my local garage fit my de-cat pipe. I did get underneath and have a look at it, but didn't rate my chances of holding everything together and balancing the locking ring over the 2 ends.

Yes it is not as difficult a job as it looks. Start by getting the undertray off. It obviously helps if you have access to a ramp

I done it te cheap way. Jacked up front of car took off undertray

Removed 2 17mm bolts holding exhaust to gearbox ten removes 3 13mm nuts securin the down pipe tonthe pre cat. I then dropped the exhaust out the way as it's on the flexi it rested in the floor. I then removed the 17mm collar holding the temp sensor in the pre cat pulled that out the way and then drilled through the pre cat material with a big drill bit to hollow it all out so it's not a hole all the way through and runs like a dream and looks as standard too hope this helps cost me nothing lol
