    Default Creaking clutch pedal

When I press the clutch pedal it creaks and its not as smooth as it used to be.

    Would lubricating it fix it??
If so what should I use and where should I apply it?

silicon grease, its got a nylon bush at the top of the pedal that squeeks, just cover your pedals with a cloth so you dont spill anything on them! pump the pedal a couple of times job done!

Will this stuff do the job? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165705

If so I'll get some at lunch and give it a go.

Well I had a look at lunch time.

I can see the spring on the clutch pedal but not a bush.
I can feel that the pedal goes a bit further up behind the dash.

There is a plastic cover that goes across the top of all the pedals so I removed three torx screws from the front of this cover where it meets the dashboard panel (the one that your knees would hit if you move yourself to far forward). But the cover does not want to move.

How do I get to/see the bush?

OK I had another go at removing the panel. Its all one piece not two as I first thought.
So there are 3 TX20 screws underneath. 2 more between the panel and the steering column. And a sixth that's hidden behind the light switch.

With the panel off its a little easier to see things. I still couldn't see a bush.
So I sprayed the spring and its mounts and, as best as I could, the top of the pedal where it pivots.

The noise is even worse now!!

So I'll have to live with it....

Hi - how on earth do you remove the the sixth screw behind the light switch? I cannot see how to get to it - the panel needs to come off by the looks of it. But i cant get it off because the 6th screw is holding it on!

    thanks
    Nick

The screw was obvoius once the panel as removed.
So I am guessing you are having trouble removeing the light switch panel?

    If so you need to:

Push the headlight on / off switch in, turn it to sidelights (middle setting) then pull then it should come out.
