I have a suspected seized rear brake caliper. The dealer seems to be the cheapest place to buy an exchange caliper but can't say when he will get one.

Has anyone ordered one from the dealer and how long did it take?

I can get two replacement calipers from the dealer for the price of 1 at a motor factor

    Motor factor wants £99 odds

    Dealer wants 51!

Like I say though the dealer doesn't know when he can get one.

I have a pair of seized 292 calipers that i'd like to fit to the car instead of the 278s so that would be 100 quid each plus discs and pads

Problem is that the 278 caliper thats fitted to the car has seized solid meaning the car is off the road

I either need a dirt cheap 278 caliper or the 292's exchanged asap

I had mine done by kwik fit at last mot as it had seized up but was done through warranty as they had fitted 3 years previously so not sure what the cost would have been.

Ok i've been to a different motor factor today and got a price of 65 quid a side for 278s and 70 quid a side for 292s but they need to know if the piston is 38mm or 40mm. Does anyone know?
