    Default Stage 2 remap????

I recently had my 150bhp sri remapped to 176bhp. I was told this was all i could really expect as it has 94000miles on the clock and pushing it any further would only be asking for problems.

Now i had a tuning box in previously and although, granted the remap has smoothed out the acceleration i see very little difference between the two if any.

Is there a feasible stage 2 remap out there and what are the kind of costs associated with it? I presume its a bit more physical work then just the remap??

To be honest with that sort of mileage on the engine, I wouldn't be pushing it any harder at all if it was me. Certainly that engine will do more, but I wouldn't recommend it on 94k already.

Unsure but too much derv trq will eat your clutch, poss new injectors, turbo, think stock IC is fine on the derv (someone better placed will confirm).

Its not always about max power - the way it is delivered is what matters.

When I had my Fabia VRS mapped it was great but typical VAG in that all the power at 1900 rpm and by 4000 rpm nothing.

Now compare this to how my stock 177 bhp 120d delivered its power - smooth across the whole rev range and made the car very useable indeed.
