    Default Rusty door on Vectra

Anyone have a rusty door on their Vectra?

Approx 2.5 years ago my back OS door was replaced following an accident. To my horror last night, I washed the car and noticed a huge part of the bottom of the said door paint blistered and rusting. I have a 3 year guarentee on the work done but what are the chances of them admitting it is a bad job when I take it back?

Sounds like you have a claim, get it booked in formally for inspection that way it will be recorded etc etc, and, good luck with it!

That is a very substandard repair TBH, the Vec C/Signum is galvanised when new and there should be no rust on it anywhere. I sense that non genuine parts or non standard practises have been used when repairing.

Get right on the phone and good luck

you dont get non gen doors or quarter panelsfor vauxhalls, if its an aproved vx repairer they arent alowed to fit non gen parts as it effects the vx warranty on the paint, if its been a doorskin fitted they have been knowen to rust after time, so check what was fitted, if it was a doorskin then demand a door to be fitted & say you will complian to your insurance co if its not sorted, repair centres must keep complaints down to keep the work coming in

Update. I have been to the bodyshop and yes you were correct, the bodyshop were great. They had one look at it and gave me a 2 day slot when they are going to fix it, courtesy car as well.

One thing I did not ask, does my guarentee for the work they are about to carry out start again or does it still run from the original date?
    thanks.
