Iirc you just remove the right hand boot trim panel and the lock just unclips. Mine wasn't locking when I first got the car and it turned out it had just released it's self from the clips
Any idea on the price for one mate, mines was intermittently not working, recently now i think its gave up the ghost
ALL SORTED
There are 2 screws inside the actual fuel cap its self, then inside the RHS boot trim, there are a few retaining screws to keep the wire tight, once these are removed and the crews taken out it slides out , the solenoid itself can be removed from the housing, looks as if its just sticky but plenty of oil its working.......... for now
Mmmmm wonder if it was changed on later models then? Mine definatly just slides into position and clicks in
Could have been mate, 1st pic is the housinjg that its in, you release from inside the fuel cap, 2nd is the solenoid its self that slides in and out of it,
Maybe you left the housing in and just released the solenoid , which sounds like what u done
If that is a pic of your actual one then I think the Vec B has the same lock
