There was definitely a gap on mine before I put the bracket on, and IIRC there was still a small gap after I'd tightened the bolts.

It's not a gap that you have to worry about though - if you've bought the largest size bush available (25.2), then you know that it can't possibly be the case that your ARB is too big for the bush. It would be much more worrying if the bush seemed to be too big for the ARB, because then you'd think you should have bought a smaller size.

there should not be a gap . there are 2 size arbs . when you put the bracket back on it should be a tight fit and close all gaps . you got to have the right size . look on the old ones it will tell you the actaul size

"1.8 non sports" implies that he would have the smaller diameter ARB, but his issue is that the ARB seems too big for the largest bush.

Got 16/17/18 For Rears...24mm For The Front (Didnt Have 25.2 In Stock)..Took Rears Off..Clearly Marked 17..Changed Them Over..Problem Solved...Tried The 24`s On The Front..The Gap In The Bush Was BIG..So With It Being Sunday..Went To Local Factors (Autosave) They Ordered 25.2``s For Me..Went Out..Jacked Car Up..Slid It Over A.R.B..
Still Same Gap.Guy Even Measured My A.R.B...Argued With Guy That They Aint 25`s lol

Went To Stealers Yesterday..Ordered 25`s From Them..Think They Should Be There This Morning..The Size Of The Gap I Would Say Dont Look Far Off Half An Inch..

Now When It Comes To Tightening Them Up..I Dont Think Bushes Are Gonna Close Up That Much..Torx Bolts Nearest Engine Will Be Tight..Its The Bolts Nearest Bulkhead..Gotta Use A Ratchet Spanner..Get 1 Click..Take Spanner Off And Click It 4 Times With Finger..Put It Back On Torx To Get 1 More Click

Anyways..Will Let You Know How I Get On..Cheers Guys

Fronts Aint Got Size On Them..Just Part Number..According To Vauxhall Yesterday..My Old Ones Are 25.2..

I had my bushes fitted by my local garage. I noticed one had a slight gap in it and asked about on this forum and the gist wast that it's ok to have a bit of a gap. Here's a pic of mine to show you.
