    Default Phone Function

    Hi Everyone,

First post on here-looks to be a great forum with lots of useful information.

Recently got the Vectra 1.9 Cdti (150) with the 19" VXR alloys and sat nav and phone kit.

I'm having a problem with the phone side, when I go to the phone on the display all that comes up is a message saying "no phone" and signal strength bars. I cant go into any menus by pressing the select button on both the steering wheel and on the head unit.

It has the bracket for the phone cradle next to the handbrake but by reading posts on here I don't think I need the cradle as it's bluetooth as well?

Looking through the paperwork with the car I have noticed on a service in 2010 it said that they had updated the software but was still unable to pair-UHP fault.

Is there a way for me to try and reset the UHP-if so where is it, and how do you get to it? or will it not have bluetooth and need the cradle? Worse case I'm assuming I will need to get a new UHP as I desperately need the hands free (200 miles a day) whats the cost for these?

Thanks-look forward to reading up/posting more on here!

    Ryan

Hi Ryan, The cradle is there just foir charging the phone, and the CD70 will have bluetooth fitted if you have the phone option on the screen and a phone button on the cd70, When i had mine I had no issues with it really apart from when i first got it as I had a nokia at the time and the bluetooth kit doesn't seem to like many nokia's..

You could try getting hold of a firmware update cd, as that may reset it.

    Thanks for the input Pete.

I'm running the iphone 4 (well hoping to!) Just hope there aren't any problems associated with that-have tried various bluetooth phones and none work so far-you can't even do a search as its like the screen is locked out just saying "no phone"

Got a feeling I will need to change the UHP module though looking at the service report at Vauxhall.

I read on here that to re-flash the UHP you need to unplug it for a few mins so was thinking to try that option first if I knew how to get to it and where it is!

If no joy there I'll look at getting the firmware update CD.

    Thanks again

My iphone 3gs worked perfectly with the cd70 bluetooth, all contacts and last calls came up on the screen..

    Hopefully you'll get it sorted

    Here is a UHP4 on ebay £100 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I was thinking of getting it for my CD70 and I've noticed I have the connection for the microphone by the map lights, Just not sure whats all envolved in setting it up and what connection leads to get or need.

    Thanks for the link

Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get one of these.

Is it hard to fit? I'm assuming it goes behind the stereo somewhere and you need the keys to pull it out??

Thanks. Any idea how you would get to it?

I don't have much patience and don't want to start breaking bits by just pulling at bits!

    Cheers

I found that Nokias connected ok, but to make a call i had to pick up the phone, find the number and then press send, once i'd done that it came through the bluetooth, This would of course result in being nicked if seen by the police.. I then bought a Blackberry, had two of those over two years then went to the iPhone 3gs, it also connects straight away, and just like the blackberry's it also transfered the address book to the UHP so that calls could be made by using the steering wheel controls (aka hands-free)..
