Alarm System

well im curious if the standard vectra c car alarm should have the horn going as well as the alarm system box

can anyone confirm this please

just curious as my safeguard is telling me to check. and ive check everything
and all seems ok
even the fuse's

the only thing that i dont know. is if the horn should go off

have you checked the black alarm sensor that runs round the back windows ???

on my signum just the sounder box gos off if thats not connected the horn takes its place

Just the sounder in the boot. On some cars if you disconnect the sounder, the horn will take its place - and throw up the safeguard fault message.

Re: the window sensor. The connectors are on the side rear windows of the estate car. I think you can take a fuse out in the boot fusebox (fuse 23 I think?) to also bypass it.
