Travel assistant is a storage unit that sits in the middle seat, has a built in fridge, power sockets, fold out tables and a holder fo ra portable DVD player. i think maybe around 38mpg average for it. Travel assistant was NOT a popular option on the Signums

I have a Facelift Signum Design 3.0 CDTi and usually get between 35 and 40 mpg depending on how much town driving is done. I have had up to 45 mpg on a long motorway run but the temptation is always there to enjoy the performance! It is a great long distance cruiser.

I think I saw on here recently that the base plate for the travel assistant was no longer available so you might struggle to fit it if you get one.

    Vehicle : Opel Signum

    Trim : Sport

    Engine : 3.0 CDTI

My average over the last 35k is 38mpg of fast motorway driving. Worst I had was 25mpg in Germany (only 150miles though), best was 50mpg. My old 3.0 was better on fuel, mainly because I never used the power because it was broken most of the time lol That averaged 45mpg in 20k miles, best was almost 56mpg. Poor thing did good at 170k miles lol

Came as standard on 03 Elite, standard on the full range on 04 and then from 05 onwards was an optional extra only.

    See above.

@stu - people who've had Signums with the TA have often kept the TA when they've sold the car, especially if they've PXed it, to then sell on eBay
so could be why you're not seeing many with it.

But as mentioned, the fitting kit which contains the wiring and adaptors required to fit it is no longer available from VX, so unless you find a car with it already fitted then you won't get a Travel Assistant fitted and working. It's easy to spot - there'll be a plastic cover plate fitted on the centre tunnel which covers the plugs for the electricals...
