    Default Throttle body question

This morning I removed my throttle body on my 2.2 Vectra Z22SE. For a while now it has not been running great, feels slightly hesitant a low RPM and generally lumpy. I’ve tried new plugs, new coil pack, blanked off the EGR and done a lot of head scratching. Being a fairly naive when it comes to all things mechanical I’m not sure if my TB has had it. Once I took it off I noticed that the butterfly flat does not close all the way. With your fingers you can push it one way to full close it by about 30 degrees and the other way at around 180 to fully open it. Should it be fully closed or is this normal?

    Cheers

Thats normal mate, you need that little gap to let air in for idle as the z22se has no ICV. If this gap area is dirty, both on the butterfly and barrol then it can cause poor idle.
