Default A Good Old Fashioned Earth Chase

Well the weekend didn't go exactly as planned..........

I was going to treat her with some wax and polish with the weather being so nice this weekend, and spent most of it chasing an earth through my passenger side rear light!! Turns out one of my lamps had gone "a bit iffy" and ended up with some residue around the filament (didn't know that caused an earth?!?) so off to my local autoparts store (Big orange sign, black writing - no names ) and £3 my earth is all sorted and my indicators are no longer flashing at the speed of light (no pun intended!!).

Unfortunately after attempting the alternative rear light set up, I snapped a cable from the pin on the drivers side, so I can see my extensive soldering experience coming into play this week. I say soldering, maybe welding is more appropriate!!

Then on with the debadge and she'll finally get treated with a gd old polish. Anyone got some good tips for a debadge and for some awesome cleaning gear?? I will be going fully manual on this, and could do with the exercise to be honest so any tipps would be appreciated.

    First pics to follow...............

On the debadge apply some heat from a hairdryer or heat gun for a few seconds, I did this and the griffin badge literally lifted off by hand with no damage to the paintwork.

as for polishing AutoGlym super resin polish is the best place to begin topped up with an LSP of a good wax will look great and last for weeks.

For the debadge, use a hair dryer and an old (credit) card. I've always used autoglym intensive tar remover to get the last bits off. hth

Damn. Got beaten to it lol

Well its back!! I thought i'd put it down to the bulb being a bit "furry" but it obviously wasn't, so I now have no rear passenger side indicator. Its getting on my nerves now!! Is there a relay i should be looking at? I know the bulbs good because it works in the other side and the earths still there as it goes at a million mph!! Help!!!
