    Post Vectra De-Badging

    Hi all,
Ive debadged my vectra today and i must say an easy mod to do. I heated Badges up with hair dryer until hot to touch then using fishing line i dragged across rear of badge. This will leave the black sticky adhesive on there. The easiest way of getting this of is rub with thumb whilst putting a little heat on from hait dryer. once all adhesive is off use a polish to remove any excess sticky. I used t-cut silver and worked a treat..hope this helps. please remember to full inspect around badge to make sure car has had no respray. or when you remove badge paint might be different colour...

Ive got a black Signum and de-badged the back end last week too. I have de-badged all my cars with no problems but for some reason especially on the main vauxhall centre badge it left white marks around the edges and despite using t-cut I cannot get rid of them - really annoying!
I even got a mate at a bodyshop to use his professional buffer but they wont go!!!
I used proper sticky stuff remover too and no harsh objects to remove the badges and adhesive. Is it a Vauxhall thing as I havent had this problem before? Perhaps they dont coat enough laquer on the paintwork? Could be coz my cars black maybe, thats why its more noticable I expect!!!

Ive noticed the white marks on a fair few of the black vectras however mine didnt leave a trace. I used a hairdryer on my previous car but upgraded to a heat gun this time, made it far easier to get the adhesive off and the key to leaving no marks was the white spirits like marc said. Wee bit of heat + white spirit on a cloth should not leave any marks.

I debadged mine last night, and the only place I had and remnants was on the chrome strip on the boot, thinking of painting it black though so its all good.
