You first need to establish whether the fan is working, by whether you can hear it, regardless of temperature. Hot air is a sympton of a working heater, not a working fan.

Secondly, there's a common fault that causes the fan to not work on speeds 1-3, but work on speed 4, which would mean that the fan will work on the "quick defrost" setting but not on any other setting. If this is the case, it's usually caused by the drain hole in the engine bay, in front of the pollen filter, being blocked, which causes water to get through the filter into the fan housing. There's a green relay under the glovebox that will need to be replaced to get the fan working correctly again.

Your heater controls also seem to be broken, but it's easy to swap out; just make sure that the replacement looks identical as there are at least 4 different types available.

Here is one way to prove it
Switch the fan setting to off
    Turn the airconditioning to off
Switch all the vents to closed position, then leave one open
    Turn the engine on
    Turn the airconditioning on
By default the fan commences at position 1 (even in the off position)
If there is no difference, the fan has failed

Ultimately you may need to replace the control panel, as the switch is integral to the control panel

I'll get it in asap, do you know the cut off mileage for warranty i think it's 60k?

Im just on 12k so lots to do yet.
Oooo sorry, i was just trying to establish if it had been used or not to keep the seals lubed up. if its not been used and then didn't work i thought it maybe a higher chance of a gas leak through dry seals, rather than it worked yesterday but doesn't today which would make me think its possibly a stone hole in the condenser. 60k or not its not covered for damage like a hole.

Hopefully for you its not as that won't be covered under warranty.

I've argued this one before, initially refused but decision reversed plus the gas was included

The argument was that unlike a tyre which is permanently in contact with the road and subject to wear and tear, the condensor itself is not
Equally, the condensor is not covered by comprehensive car insurance policies and so can only be covered by vehicle component insurance (warranty)
Seems they didn't want to respond to that!
