Default What Detailing Kit To Buy??

I'm after a bit of advice from all you detailing Guru's please, Im picking up my new car on the 27th and im looking to buy some good detailing kit for it, I've read on here that Chemical Guys is good but i'm open to suggestions, what would i need to get?? The car is black so it's gonna be a nightmare to keep clean, I'd like to keep the leather interior clean/fed, same with the wheels, Any recommendations on kit to buy??

I already have a snowfoam lance, but not sure if I have any snowfoam left over..

what colour is it? i have lot's of detailing kit, including a couple different waxes, shampoos, polish etc etc. if its a dark car i would suggest some zymol shampoo, AG SRP, PBBH and either some collinite 915 wax or dodo juice rainforest rub, but even some turtle wax platinum series stuff does a really good job hth

Pete dont get caught up in having to have tons of stuff. The basic's work. A decent AIO(all in one) Polish and a good LSP(Last Step Protectant). Polish is easy, AG SRP. LSP are far harder to pick from. You have to decide if you want Wax or a Synthetic Sealant. Zaino seems to be the products of choice these days and I know that Khalid swears by them with great results. I likee AG HD Wax as an LSP. Tried a couple of Dodo products now but not overly impressed tbh, nothing any better than any AG product, ok exception may be their Super Natural Wax but thats nearly £90 a tub.

Cheers DasArab, So i just need a good all in one and a LSP? is that right?? I've read that sealants are as good as wax and give a deeper shine, is that correct or is it just sales BS?

Sealents are good Pete. But I am still a good fan of a coat of wax. But I do tend to put a coat of Finish Kare KP 1000p sealent on then put a coat of wax on top of it. I would say my favorite wax has to be Victoria Concours wax. But Colinite 915 has to be the one that will out last all wax,s.
I have put a coat of KP 1000P on the wifes car and a coat of Victoria Concours Wax on mine, and am compareing them to see which one last the longest.

That about sums it up Pete. Its all down to personal preference. Sealants appear to be the way forward, but that doesn't mean they are better. Its all down to the preparation of the paint work prior to applying the LSP. Im with Ed I prefer wax, im sure someone will eventually show me the errors of my ways at some point but until that happens its Wax for me too.
