help!!!

new to the site!! lol just bought a vec c sri 2.0 turbo has a few mods such as lowerd susp 19 inch snowflakes problem is that it struggles to get over speedbumps!! pot holes are a nightmare and the inner side of the two front tyres are slightly rubbing on the bodywork of the wheelarch as there is some wear on the inside tyres and where it has been rubbin the arch!! back seems fine though! my 1st thoughts were to get 235 45 19 but think that would be worse as it would rub on the body work even more as current tyres are 235 35 19 ?? i have no idea what susp kit is on the car and was wondering if i would have to get a whole new susp kit to lift it a little?? if so what would be the best adjustable susp kit to get? or could i just replace the front susp and leave the back as it is? would appreciate any help!! cheers!!

Really need to know whats on it mate, it definatly doesn't sound like standard VX sports suspension as it shouldn't be rubbing. Are you sure you don't have a broken spring?

Also that tyre size is correct for your car

have you got spacers fitted? or maybe the camber is incorrectly set on the struts..there's room for 245's even fully dropped... could you take some pics?... even if you change the springs you need to sort the arch issue..this can be easily sorted by rolling the arch lip and if need be flaring the arch slightly (I have an easy diy method for this that doesnt involve money of hammers )

hi welcome to the site mate pull the front wheel off and have a look see that sup setup is on it and if its got spacers and how wide they are as said you may have a broken spring etc fire some photos up of it mate from the front rear and side on

cheers for the replys! its not standard sri susp! the guy i bought it from said the owner before him lowerd it! theres a few pics on here of the car as funnily enough i found them on cars for sale on here! was advertised on here 7 month ago! haha whats the odds of that eh! ill find the user who had it 4 sale and post the name on here as the pics are still there see what you guys think! car is still the same since then! hopefully someone will know who was selling it and knows what the car is like n all is gd! fingers crossed!

if you look in cars for sale its 2nd page near the bottom by f33f33 vec c 53 sri 2.0t just saw on there the susp is pi 45-40?? i take it thats how much its been lowerd? see what you guys think lol

lot of the pix dont open but looking at the one that did I would not say it would rub I would check the springs mate

i know ill have to get more pics up! will get the springs looked at! that was the only thing putting me off buying it with it being so low! but all in all think its a gd car! so quite chuffed with that haha!
