Default Pin for hatch parcel shelf has snapped !

When I bought my veccy hatchback just over two years ago, one of the pins which the parcel shelf attaches to had snapped off. The dealer fixed it as part of the deal, they glued it back in place and it has lasted so far.

The other day the pin on the other side snapped I think I put the shelf back in and closed the hatch not realising that the shelf wasn't in quite right

The thing is that the pin has disappeared into the trim somewhere and I can't see it, it looks like I need to remove some of the trim to the side of the boot and the plastic trim behind the seat.

Is this an easy job ? it looks like the pin wouldn't be a part available on its own.

    TIA !
    Si

just take the side panel out of the boot area on the side that the pin has fell out of..

1 push in fastener by the boot egde, 2 torx screws up under the plastic 'shelf' and the liner should slide down and out of the boot..

the pin will be on the boot floor area.. just thread it back through the 'shelf' with a dob of superglue on it..

sounds like loose tin cans doesn't it...

seroiusly..take your time and it's easy to fix..

just mind you don't put a kink in the liner panel..

I'll bear that in mind when the dealer did the other side they managed to get superglue on the seat belt which they had to change after some and they left the tube of industrial strength super glue on the back seat LOL !

I shouldn't do any worse than they did hehe
