Which went, front or rear spring?
Remember to replace both (front-front or rear-rear)
If you are changing manufacturer then it is recommended to change all four
On completion to then have a full geometry check carried out

I would agree if your driving in todays F1 in China but for ordinary road use stick to replacing them in axle pairs. Simple change of a pair of springs shouldn't affect the geometry of the car. Unless you have some spare cash to throw away - keep it simple and don't fix it if it ain't broke - just done front springs on my 04 1.9 estate dead simple about £35 a piece KYB make from Sutton Autospares in Nottingham -Good Luck

Springs should always be done in pairs.

As a spring wears/gets old it looses its tension so it will compress different to a new spring.
