Default Now I've seen it all...

    Saw it all this week.....

I went to a local retail park to get some tv bits. A few doors up was Halfords. Someone was buying a sound systems upgrade. A Halfords member of staff was fitting a new set of speakers. The door cards were off bits every where and he looked very troubled. There was a small audience of people having a good look at the car which was ......

The owner was either brave of stupid if you ask me as his car was spread all over the shop front.

Most Halfords stores leave ICE/Wiring to a travelling specialist (I know one does Norwich and Surrounding stores) - and if he looks at the car and deems that they dont want to touch it, they will not do anything. As said, the owner is either brave or stupid and so is Halfords for attempting it. The costs in mucking up even changing a wiper blade must be horrendous.

Or more likely.... he is a friend of one of the directors at Halfords who he met at a party and offered to do it for practically nothing to impress him......

Let's face it, would you let Halfords near any car you own?

I know my old man went to them with his Vectra-B to get a car-phone kit fitted and it took him months to get the CD multichaner working properly again. Guess you have to desparate

They come apart a peice of wee , berlingo interior light anyone ? , used to fit tracking systems to the above and plenty more expensive things , they are easier than some mass produced cars .

I feel a bit sorry for the fitter myself, it's not as if he'd have anyone to call upon when stuck kitting a glorified FFFFFFFFIAT out is it?
