My 2.2 MPG Amazed how good!

Well heard a few comments on how the 2.2 Vectra Sri can be quite heavy on fuel...

Well after 3 fill ups and different styles of driving my mpg figures are as follows:

On the clock reset from full to light on I'm getting about 350/65 miles to a tank.

Motorway driving 35/6mpg have had 37.5 once lol
Around town 33mpg
Heavy foot through gears 31mpg

I think this is quite good and wanted ur thoughts if this was right?
Either way I'm happy with what I've bought!

39.7mpg from Leeds to south Wales and back, currently running 26.5 around city centre and if I boot it all the time it will drop into the 24's. Thats on the none direct 2.2.

Thats about right,I got 37mpg the other day on run to Blackpool.Around town though I get 24mpg and general about the 30mpg mark with my 2.2 petrol

Im getting 410 miles on a tank of tesco unleaded. more than happy. did a test this week after driving my dads MGZT 260 4.6 V8 pure motorway driving got 250 miles from his 70 litre tank. And mine is mixed town, country and motorway same every week. my average even when more than occasionally gunning it hasn't dropped below 35mpg and usually sits at 37.9. I reset every tank.

Hi, my 2 cents. I have a 3.2 auto Elite. Got it two weeks ago. I live in Gravesend and had to go to Slough And Cardiff on 14/03. 411.5 miles round trip. I got 36.6 on the way there. Back I had booted it to test (I was bored) but got 35! Used to have a BMW 523i but the boot wasn't big enough. Very happy with my V.

I used to get late 30's from my 2.2 direct - mixed motorway and town. Low 30's is bit poor.

I gained 5 - 6 mpg by checking the tyre pressures and taking them up to 38psi for a fully loaded trip from Argyll and Bute to Perthshire in Scotland.

I was getting 39 - 40 mpg on a mixture of A and B roads in my 2.2 Signum Elite Automatic which is outstanding!

Anything above 32 mpg is great on mine :-/..... (on summer tyres)

I have now gone through 3 tanks of petrol in mine, first i got 42.1 (I used to drive an old jeep so was driving slowly ) Current tank is show 36.6. Mostly motorway and town driving.
