Exclamation Whoshing Sound from Turbo Pipe or Exhaust?

I had given my Vectra 54 plate 1.9CDTI Elite Pre Facelift for a good seeing to lol Mechanically.

The car is making a whoshing sound as in to much boost is being produced. I dont have a boost gauge but also dont want me turbo dying on me. Do you think I should check the Turbo Pipe to the intercooler as this was what I was advised from my mechanic and to change it first and then look towards the exhaust. I have had a MIJ exhaust and has been decated.

What do you guys think? Should I try and lower the boost pressure if so HOW or buy NEW Silicone Turbo pipe ( I am tempted to buy one anyway) what difference it makes im not sure.

Yes check your inter cooler hoses for splits, especially the long one coming out of the inter cooler, as this one gets pressurised.
I very much doubt that you are getting to much boost.

If the engine was overboosting it would go into limp home mode. Sounds like a slight split in a boost hose somewhere. Some noise from the turbo is normal though. Is it louder than normal?

    Thumbs up Response

No Whoshing sound after I come off the accelerator.

A little loss of power as well I would say, can someone advise via pictures or point me in the right direction on which pipes I need to check and what I am looking out for?

    Thanks
