Just in Halfords at the moment and some guy was asking advice about demon shine and the guy there recommended it as described which was fine but then he was recommending claying the car, again his description was good, until he said to tcut the car before every claying session, and recommended claying every 3 months :|

Bad training though isn't it. He's only passing on what he's been told. I mean anyone in to car care would be able to offer better advice than T Cut to start with. The only properly trained people at Halfords(and im sure others will disagree) appear to be the Bike Hut Guys.

Normally find this in lots of the big stores. PC world is another which can offer Atrocious advice to unsuspecting buyers.

But, my loacl Halfords has a chap in there who does know his stuff. Of all the times i have been in his advice has been in keeping with what i have read in the past either on here or other forums. They are few and far between though.

thing is he was an older bloke, and reckons he uses these techniques on his car and offered to show the bloke his car to show him the benefits of claying etc so i think its stuff that he has got from somewhere other than halfords lol

I had the same probs mate, got them to fit a rear derailleur on one of my bikes cos I did not have time. When I collected it, the damn thing did not work. Ended up doing it myself anyway.
